Chief Marshal Butcher returns

Ian Butcher has agreed to take on the role of Chief Marshal for the Lombard Rally again in 2008.

Ian, a previous Clerk of the Course on the Quinton Rally joined the Lombard Rally team last year recruiting over 1000 individuals to support the 2007 event. 'Although a baptism of fire on times', Ian remarked, 'It was rewarding work, having been out of the sport for a number of year's and then being dropped in at the deep end supporting the largest event in the UK today, it was gratifying'.

Ian went on to say. 'The support was terrific, and I made many new friends along the way'. 'This years event takes us through Scotland and what a challenge that is going to be, but I'm up for it'! Ian will be supported not just by the WERA main team but a small army of Area Organisers, all locally recruited from the network of Clubs that abound on route.
